ONiON gray lab (Onion Gray no Kenkyuushitsu) is a research-oriented design studio on the 1st floor of the Message Umeda Building at 2-16-19 Sonezaki, Kita-ku, Osaka, the same building that houses the ONthe UMEDA co-working space. The studio describes itself as a "free and unbound design office" where Science and Fantasy mix, drawing on behavioural economics and storytelling. The studio's philosophy is that design is the act of optimising a process, and it aims to be the grounding for clients' success through scientific insight and unique thinking. Services span creative direction, branding, graphic design, web design, editorial work and "Sunday Library" (Nichiyou Tosho) content projects, with a mission to remain a partner that moves clients.
