About This Event / イベントについて
TOYO TIRES Downtown BMX 2026 is the fourth edition at Grand Front Osaka’s Umekita Plaza main space. The one-night event on Saturday 29 August 2026 (18:30–21:00) puts a portable pump-track and jump course in the middle of Umeda. Admission to watch is free. Rain on the day cancels the meet.
The format fuses Olympic BMX Racing speed with Freestyle air. Men (16) and women (8) race 1-on-1, best of two; a 1–1 tie is broken by the higher successful finish jump. Top sponsor is TOYO TIRE. Prize purse is the highest among Japanese BMX racing events this cycle: ¥1,500,000 men, ¥1,000,000 women, ¥4,350,000 total. Olympians and recent Japan Cup / Asian Championship riders are on the published start list.
A livestream is listed from 18:00. Bring nothing you cannot hold standing — the plaza is standing-room around the course. JR Osaka Station is a few minutes on foot through Grand Front.

Arrive before 18:30 for a railing spot — the plaza fills once the first motos start.
