Osaka Diamond Festa 2026 Autumn occupies the west plaza outside Hanshin Umeda Main Store, 23–25 October. It is the 12th edition, run by the Osaka Diamond District Area Management Promotion Committee, on the public space south of JR Osaka Station. Admission is free. Hours are 11:00–20:00, last day until 18:00.
Lanterns from 17:00
About 250 pumpkin art lanterns were made by people who work in the district. Lights go on 17:00–20:00 each day, until 18:00 on the 25th. Daytime is a colour display. Evening is the point of going. Official photos are past-year images, so this year’s lanterns are unknown until you arrive. Rain can cancel parts of the programme.
The same plaza has the UMEDA VOICE panels, where visitors write messages or draw about Umeda. When the writing space fills, it becomes display-only. Hours match the plaza, 11:00–20:00 (18:00 on Sunday).
Three or four kitchen cars a day
The kitchen-car marche runs 11:00–20:00 (18:00 on the 25th), three to four vehicles a day. Named so far: COFFEE kinenbi (hand drip), Urusura home, NicocoNico (tortilla tacos, fermented-butter crepes), NarraTive (tea and scones), and others. Fashion Press names NicocoNico, NarraTive and kinenbi. The official release stops at “and others,” so treat the daily line-up as same-day information.
Umeda Request Station is a DJ desk playing visitor song requests through the plaza hours. Osaka School of Music students add live sets this year.

Friday night stacks lantern lighting with the live set. Saturday’s two afternoon slots are easier if you are already shopping. Sunday closes early, so lanterns last only 17:00–18:00.

Umeda Aruku Fes lists these three days as a partner event. It is not one of the three Saturday pokatsu stages. It sits on Hanshin’s west plaza. If you are collecting pokatsu points, check the official achikochi pokatsu page for the QR after you have seen the lanterns. The same weekend, Re:EDGE PARK NISHI-UMEDA Autumn Park Fes runs in Nishi-Umeda Park.
Hanshin Osaka-Umeda Station is connected indoors. JR Osaka is a few minutes south on foot. The official map paints the west plaza between Osaka Umeda Twin Towers South and Hanshin Umeda. From Hankyu, leave Sun Plaza and walk south around the west face of Hanshin. In rain, stay underground until the last outdoor step.
